Maverick Transportation announced John Berg of Raleigh, NC, as their Driver of the Month for May 2011. Berg has been with Maverick for over 3 years and has spent 7 years as a professional truck driver.

"John is extremely professional and always has a smile on his face," said Fleet Manager Graylin Banks. "He is the quintessential Maverick."

The fifth recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2011, Berg has proven himself a leader in the company's fleet with multiple safety awards. He cites, "everyone he works with treating him like family," as his favorite part of driving for Maverick.

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company's fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do.  Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2011.  As Driver of the Month, Berg will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
