Maverick Transportation announced Mark Griffin of Big Sandy, TN, as their Driver of the Month for April 2012. Griffin has been with Maverick for almost 2 years and has been a professional truck driver for 20 years.

"Mark takes a lot of pride in his job, always going above and beyond to help out his co-workers," said Fleet Manager Monica Garrett. "He is positive and upbeat and really sets a great example for his student trainees."

The fourth recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2012, Mark is a driver instructor in Maverick's temperature control division and has a one year of safe driving. He cites, "the professionalism and policies," at Maverick as his favorite aspects of being a driver.

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company's fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do.  Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2012.  As Driver of the Month, Griffin will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
