Maverick Transportation announced Tom "Hard Time" Sholar of Doddridge, AR, as their Driver of the Month for February 2012. Sholar has been with Maverick almost 9 years and has been a professional truck driver for 20 years.

"Tom has been with Maverick for a long time," said Fleet Manager Rhonda Brignac. "He has received several safety awards and trained many students, all the while maintaining a positive, upbeat attitude."

The second recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2012, Sholar has proven himself a leader in the company's fleet. He has been honored with multiple safety awards including a 5 year safe driving ring and a Million Mile Safe Driving Award. He is a driver instructor and maintains one of the highest MPG averages on his fleet. His favorite part of driving for Maverick is, "the way the company takes care of its drivers."

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company's fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do.  Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2012.  As Driver of the Month, Sholar will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
