Jay Thomas

VP Logistics

Jay started his career at Maverick in the payroll department in 1993 right after graduating from Arkansas State University with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. For the next 13 years, he ran the gamut of many accounting responsibilities and became Director of Accounting in 2006. Through experiencing and cultivating relationships with both drivers and customers alike while in accounting, Jay felt the pull towards the operational side of Maverick. In 2009, he transferred to the logistics department, assuming the role of Director of Logistics.

In 2021, Jay became the Vice President of Logistics. This role is responsible for the flatbed over the road logistics department, as well as brokerage opportunities.
