Gary Melton

Maverick Transportation announced Gary Melton from GSC from Waxhaw, NC as their October 2023 Dedicated Driver of the Month. Melton has been driving with Maverick since 2017.

"Gary is always willing to help out other drivers," said Account Manager Phil Brock. "For example, he turned around and went 70 miles in the opposite direction to help out a fellow driver who was having trouble backing into a dock. Gary is a great human being and his kindness does not go unseen."

Outstanding service gets recognized at Maverick.

The Dedicated Driver of the Month program is a high honor for specially-selected Maverick drivers. Every month, Maverick recognizes one driver from the company's fleet who demonstrates exceptional commitment to their profession, while maintaining Maverick's standards of holding safety in the highest regard. At the end of the year, the Dedicated Driver of the Month committee will choose the Dedicated Driver of the Year, which is announced the following January.
