2020 Special Olympic Truck Convoy

  Tuesday, September 29, 2020

Maverick has been a proud and long-time supporter of Special Olympics Arkansas , and we were honored to participate in this year’s Truck Convoy. The purpose of the convoy is to bring awareness and raise funds for Special Olympics. 2020 looked a bit different as it was a “virtual challenge” to reach 48 states in 14 days, but we were definitely up for taking on that challenge!

“The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.” (https://www.specialolympics.org/about/our-mission)

We are honored to support such a life-changing organization such as Special Olympics and we can’t wait to see what next year’s Truck Convoy brings!

Additionally, Maverick won the Special Olympics Arkansas flag this year! Athletes that participate, write their signatures on it and we are eager to display it at our North Little Rock, AR terminal.
