March 27, 2024 (North Little Rock, Ark.) – Maverick Transportation is honored to announce that 18-year veteran driver, Terry Reavis, has been named a Truckload Carriers Association Highway Angel of the Year.

The Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) Highway Angel program acknowledges professional truck drivers for their outstanding bravery and kindness shown while on the job. More than 1,250 professional truck drivers have been recognized as Highway Angels to date.

“Terry Reavis came across [a] catastrophic collision on February 19, 2023, on I-95 in Brunswick, Georgia when he witnessed a pickup truck driving backwards across three lanes of traffic and [getting] t-boned by an SUV. Terry was one of the first on scene and didn’t hesitate to assist, rescuing three children and aiding an injured woman until help arrived. His 27 years of experience and training as a first responder enabled him to manage one of the worst accidents he’s ever seen, remarkably ensuring no lives were lost.” (Three Professional Drivers Recognized as TCA's 2023 Highway Angels of the Year - Truckload Carriers Association, 3/25/2024)
